Vijayant Tank –
It was used in 1971 India Pakistan war.

Arjun Tank –

This is an indigenous tank. It has computerized firing system.

Bhishma Tank –

The combat tank T-90 S with modern facilities, which has been named Bhishma, the tank was inducted into the Indian Army on 7 January 2003. Assembled in India, received from Russia, this tank is a tank with unprecedented capacity.

Ajeya Tank –

Made in India and Upgraded by Heavy Vehicle factory.

BMP-2 Sarath –

soviet origin locally manufactured in India by ordinance factory Medak.

 

Missiles: –

Brahmos –

This supersonic cruise missile has been manufactured under the Indo-Russian joint venture. These 8 meters long and 3 tonne surface-to-surface missile can be launched from land, ship or aircraft. This missile can after 290 km+ targets. This missile is named Brahmosh after two major rivers of India and Russia, Brahmaputra and Moskva.

 

Trihool –

It is a ground-to-air missile. Its kill parity is 25 km.

Prithvi –

It is a ground-to-ground missile. Its firepower is more than 250 km.

Agni –

it is an intermediate range missile.

Akash –

it is a surface to air missile.

Naag –

This medium advanced Anti-Tank Guided Missile

Dhanush –

Strike capability up to 350 km with conventional and nuclear warheads up to 500 km.

Agni v –

Surface to surface Missile’s firepower ranges from 5000 to 8000.

 

Nuclear Command Authority and Strategic Force Command (NCA)

The Government of India formed the Nuclear Command Authority of India in January 2003.

In this authority, there will be Political Council and Executive Council at the top level.

The Prime Minister will be the head of the political council. And the army can use nuclear weapons against the enemy only on the orders of the Prime Minister. The head of the working council will be the National Security Advisor.

The government has established a separate Strategic Forces Command consisting of all three services for the administration of nuclear weapons.

The Commander-in-Chief of this unit is appointed by an officer of the rank of Air Marshal.

 

Training Institutions –

National Defence Academy (NDA) –

Kadakvasla (Pune) has three-year basic military course for the trainees of three branches of army.
It consists of 6 semesters and a science degree is awarded. After this the cadets go to their respective academies; Like – Indian Military Academy (IMA), Air Force Academy, Naval Academy.

 

Defence Service Staff Collage –

The Defence Staff College located in Wellington (Tamil Nadu) trains 300 serving officers from all the three branches of the army.

 

Rashtriya Raksha University

National Defence College, New Delhi, the three teachers of the army and senior officers of the central services Trains personnel in political matters related to the security of the nation at critical levels.

Indian Navy Training Center –

The major training center for officers and men of the Indian Navy are located cochin.

 

Thal Sena College –

 

The Indian Military Academy located in Dehradun is the main center for the officers of the Army. The pass outs from the National Defence Academy, Kadakwasla undergo training for one year before getting commissioned.
