Tactics- 
Field Signals

In the field of battle, the signal orders given by the hand from the whistle from the scriptures are called field signals. When it is not possible to give orders by voice due to the noise of battle, security reasons or great distance, then the field signal is used.


Hand signals –

Signals are given by hand as follows: –

1.      Advance

2.      Change Direction

3.      Follow Me

4.      Spread Out

5.      Come Closer

6.      Attack

7.      Signal Understood

8.      The enemy is Coming

9.      Single File formation

10.  File Formation

11.  Arrow Hand Formation

12.  Diamond Formation

13.  Extended Formation

 

Arms Signals –

Signals are given by Arms as follows: –

1.      Reduce the number of enemies.

2.      The enemy is Outnumbered.

3.      Enemy is not visible

4.      Don’t have ammunition

5.      Move forward

6.      Signal by whistle

7.      Warning order

8.      Danger

9.      Enemy ship

10.  Enemy ship gone

 

Section Formation-

According to the ground situation, the objective of the war and the position, section formation is required to inflict damage on the enemy and reduce the damage. Different section formation may keep minimum distance of 15-25 yards from one soldier to another during day time and the soldiers should not stay behind each other and stay in the zig-zag place.

Platoon Formation

There are three types of platoon formation: –

1- One Up Formation-

 In this, one section of the platoon moves ahead and the rest section behind this section is good for advanced.

2- Two Up Formation

It has two sections towards the front and one section towards the back. This formation is good for attack.

3- Three Up Formation-

It consists of three sections moving forward. This formation is used when a platoon is involved in a company or large-scale assault. It has more fire power

 

Fire Discipline

The command of fire command is like a banana to the commander of a fire unit, who can fire on the target from his unit, what results can be achieved.


Fire Order

1-Plan Fire Order –

 Orders given by higher authorities.

2-Fire Direction Order –

 The orders that are given to the fire unit commander by his superiors are called fire directions.

3-Fire Control Order –

The orders that the fire unit commander gives to some or all of the soldiers under his command are called fire control orders.


Fire Unit

The team of hose soldiers is called fire unit which fires under the command of an officer. The person who orders the soldier to fire is called the unit commander.

Types of Fire

1-Concentrated Fire –

Concentration of fire at a specific place is called concentrated fire.

2-Distributed Fire –

Spreading fire along the line of target is called Distributed Fire.

3-Area of Fire –

In which the enemy is responsible for firing by a fire unit, that’s called the fire zone.


Kinds of fire Control Order

1-     Preparatory Fire Order

2-      Full Fire Order

3-     Opportunity Fire Order

4-     Brief Fire Order
