The National Cadet Corps(NCC) is a youth wing of
the Indian Armed Forces headquartered in Delhi.

National cadet corps is meant for Schools and Colleges in which students join Tri-service organizations on a
voluntary basis
, including the
Army, the Navy and the Air force . Who teaches patriotism and discipline to
the youth.

Cadets are given basic army training such as handling small arms and drill.
The emblem of  National cadet corps consists 3 colors in which the red color represents the army, the dark blue
color represents the Indian Navy and the sky blue color represents the Airforce. 17 lotuses represent 17 directorates.

 The motto of the National Cadet Corps is “Unity and Discipline”(Ekta Aur AnushaSan).  The National Cadet Corps is headed by the Director General, who is a 3-star general rank officer.

And to assist them, there are two ADG (Additional Director General) rank officers who are 2-star rank officers. There are also five brigadier level officers and civil officers to assist them.

17 Directorates of National Cadet Corps are located in the capitals of the states of the country, in which 2-star ranking generals command.

In which 96 group headquarters come under which group headquarters have 700 army wing units (including girls and technical units) 64 Air Squadrons and 73 Naval Wings.

every battalion and unit consist of number of coy and platoons in which the senior division boys’ platoon consists of 52 cadets and each coy 160 cadets. A senior wing girl battalion consists of 2 to 7 coy which means 320 to 1120 cadets. A battalion of boys consists of 4 to 7 coy which means 640 to 1120 cadets.

Navy: -A battalion of Navy consists of 4 to 8 divisions and each division has 50 cadets. Same structure will be followed for girls also. Approx. 100 Troops per Battalion for Junior Division Girls and Junior Division Boys.

Air Force: -Air Force Senior Boys and Senior Girls units may have at least 2 Fleets consisting of 100 cadets each the unit of each cadet is called a squadron, which consists of about 200 cadets. The Junior Division Girls and Junior Division Boys squadrons may consist of 100 cadets each.

 There are many arms in the National Cadets Corps. In which the first is Headquarter: headquarter national cadet corps, Directorates, Group Headquarters, Battalions and Coy Headquarters. And the second arms are of the army wing in which 2 types of arms come technical and non-technical. Technical consists Engineers, Signals, Medical, EME, CTR. And non-technical consists Infantry, Armoured & ARTY. And the third is the Airforce which has technical and flying. and Fourth Navy in which Naval Tech., Medical. And fifth and last is the Training in which OTA – Gwalior & OTA – Kamptee.
